That. Was. Awesome.
What a great turnout – thanks so much to everyone who came. We don’t know the exact number of participants since we lost count at somewhere around 80 people(!) The weather really couldn’t have been better, and what could be more fun than hanging out with so many taco truck enthusiasts?
Quick shout outs to the folks who attended from Easy Peasy Scooter Posse, ScootColumbus/The Columbus Cutters Scoot Club, and the considerable number of bicyclists – including the group with Columbus Rides (we look forward to the ‘Night of 1000 Tacos’ ride!).
A few more highlights from the event:

Taqueria Little Mexico grilled up some peppers for tour-goers

Lydia with the now-famous Potosinos pollo al carbon

Carlos from Las Delicias shows off a torta bun

Two-wheeled transportation made a strong showing at the tour

Also, since many of you asked for T-shirts, here is the link for your own Taco Truck Tour Shirt!

What a fantastic event! Thank you guys so much for all of your hard work (and groundbreaking tasting efforts.) Can’t wait to try some more trucks!
We stayed away, mostly because we were afraid that the overwhelming response would be… well, overwhelming. But given that it wasn’t, I wish I’d been there to be part of a day that the taco truck community will no doubt be talking about for years to come.
We actually had lunch an hour away from Columbus — in Utica — and our lunch companions told us about this cool taco truck tour that some friends of theirs were going on today!
I’m bummed I missed it 😦 Still not done moving, should have taken a break for tacos!! Looking forward to Taco Truck Tour #2 or maybe even my own private guide to the best!!
Thanks for organizing this event. My wife and I had a blast! Looking forward to the next one.
Paul and I had a great time. We did a quick recap of the day at http://www.columbusfoodie.com/2009/04/27/event-columbus-taco-truck-tour-09/
Thanks for organizing it! Looking forward to the east side tour. 🙂
Damn, damn, damn! I missed it! A little upset that a certain “Foodie” Didn’t tell me about this….
I am a gringo who grew up in Barrio Weedpatch, California. I ate at my first taco truck 37 years ago! After 3 trips around the world, this is still the best food on earth.
Love the site. Keep ’em coming!
Oh ya, Check out the cali site “The Great Taco Hunt”
